High Expectations Teaching: Getting ALL our Students to Believe in Themselves

This session will present concrete images of what a teachers does in everyday classroom life if they truly believe “all students can learn.”, not just some. “Smart is something you get, not something you are.”  If our students learn the six aspects of “effective effort”, they can accelerate their learning.

As educators we can combine culturally relevant pedagogy with authentic high expectations and rigor to shatter stereotypes of what marginalized students can achieve.
