Jessica Baggett presents: The Right Frame of Learning

Students must be in the right frame of mind before learning occurs. Because poverty skews that frame for some, teachers need purposeful strategies to ensure learning for all. In this session, teachers will gain a better understanding of the negative impact poverty has on learning. I will share specific strategies that provide targeted support for students that struggle academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally as a result of poverty. Teachers will learn how to make meaningful connections, create a positive learning environment, and set high expectations that allow all students to maximize their potential.
