Katie Swart

Katie Swart is the new NNPS Coordinator for the Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty. Along with her husband, Chris, she has two children, Wyatt (9) and Jane (7). She moved to Charleston in 2018 where she is an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston. Katie teaches a variety of courses that focus on early childhood development, creating positive learning environments, building relationships, and collaborating with families. Katie is passionate about building relationships with families and promoting family engagement in educational settings.
